Wreaths Across America: South End Baptist Church has partnered with the national Wreaths Across America organization to sponsor wreaths during the Christmas season to be placed at veterans graves at Mount Olivet cemetery. The national date and time for placing wreaths on veteran gravesites is Saturday, December 13 at noon. You can help by purchasing a wreath online at this link.
School Supplies Drive: The kids from Lincoln Elementary, along with other kids from surrounding schools, will soon be in need of school supplies. We have a donation box set up in the foyer. The following supplies are needed: plastic pencil boxes, 24-pack of Crayola crayons, student scissors, glue sticks, and dry erase markers. We will be collecting donations until August 17.
Food Pantry: Thank you for your generous donations! With your help, we have been able to serve many families in our community. We are currently in need of pasta noodles, pasta sauce, cereal, and crackers.
Food Pantry: Saturday, August 23, 9:30-11:30 am. Free and open to everyone in our community!
Potluck Breakfast: September 7, 8:30-9:30 am. We will have 10 Sunday School classes this fall and seven small groups. We will kick those off with a potluck breakfast provided by the Sunday School teachers in the fellowship hall. At the breakfast, we are encouraging anyone in the church to join us in fellowship and to join us in one of our Sunday School classes if they are not already a part of a Sunday School class. Each Sunday School teacher will give a brief, 5 minute overview of their class and what they are studying so members who are not part of a class can decide which one they want to attend that morning. We will also give a brief overview of each of our small group studies so if anyone would like to join us for our new studies, they can sign up on that Sunday and get a book for their small group class.
